Grooming Your Devon Rex
The Devon Rex are typically low maintenance breeds with minimal shedding. Their hairs are also prone to breakage hence, little to no grooming is required on the pawrent’s part! Weekly wiping of their coat with a damp cloth is sufficient.
Their large ears however, require occasional cleaning due to the build-up of ear wax.
The Devon Rex can also be taken into consideration for those with mild allergies as they do not shed heavily. But, those with more serious allergies should still remain wary as they still have dander and secrete the enzyme Fel d1.
Their less-insulating coats also makes them indoor-only cats as they are unable to safely protect themselves from the harsh weather of the great outdoors.
